2025年7月頃よりWebで公開されている世界地図上にドット絵を書き込んでいけるサービス『Wplace』、その中でオランダにある『アザラシ幼稚園』周辺にアザラシのイラストが集まっているようです。

アザラシ幼稚園とは、オランダで行われている野生のアザラシの治療・保護・研究を行っている施設。Youtubeでのライブ配信が日本でも話題となり、こういったライブ配信の収益や寄付によるお金はアザラシの保護活動に使われているようです。

ちなみに、現在のアザラシ幼稚園は、2025年4月頃に移転が行われ、海沿いの場所になっています。ここから東にある昔のアザラシ幼稚園があった場所にも昔のプールの側で多数のアザラシたちがくつろいでいる絵が描かれています。
